So, the fourth semester has started and we are told to start posting blogs concerning our CAJs. I have chosen "Genetically modified food" as my main topic which I want to focus on. At first, it may not sound as THE most interesting topic but I'm sure that it depends on what one makes of it.
In the last English lesson with Henry, we had the chance to talk to him about what we expect from our CAJs and in which direction we would want our projects to go to. Concerning my topic, I am thinking of beginning with the explanation of the genetic modification of food. In my opinion, it would be interesting to see how this process works and be able to explain it to someone else after having understood it. Apart from this, my second idea was to figure out the pros and cons of GM food and choose certain products, like soy, and focus on their advantages and disadvantages. I really can't wait to find out some new information about this topic which is not,more or less, known already by everyone. However, I'm most looking forward to explore the ethical view on GM food, an extremely controversial topic.
All these points are the main ideas and things I'm expecting from the CAJ project but as our teachers told us, I'll not stick 100% to this vague planning. I hope to find and see new, fascinating and interesting perspectives about genetically modified food!
